Step 1. First of all, the Touch Sensor Module always operates on the Primary Display of the OS. If you have several screens connected to the same computer you need to open Display Settings and make the desired screen Primary:
If the desired screen is already set to Primary, see the next steps below:
Step 2. Windows identifies the primary display as the touchscreen by default. You could either try to assign the other display as the primary display, or change which screen Windows identifies as a touchscreen. Please note that this setting only works on our standard touchscreen digitizer firmware and not on the Absolute Mouse Firmware that is intended for evaluation.
Please refer to the below step-by-step guide for further instructions on how to make Windows identify the secondary display as the touchscreen:
- Connect/plug-in the Touch Sensor Module to your system. The sensor needs to be connected in order for the settings to appear!
- Go to Control Panel >> Hardware and Sound >> Tablet PC Settings.
- In the Display tab, press "Setup..." in the configuration panel (please refer to the image below).
- After you have pressed, both displays should appear to be white with instructions on the selected display. Press [ENTER] to switch display, and select the one you want the sensor to report to (secondary display).
- Tap with your finger on the Display within the sensor module's Touch Active Area to confirm the selected touch screen.
- Once confirmed, the sensor module should now work on the selected screen (secondary display). Could you please check if you are able to find the "Tablet PC Setting" on your computer and if you are able to assign the secondary display as a "touchscreen"?
